Default New dyno numbers on many, many converters!

Yank has just released its latest round of dyno runs on a bunch of converters. As you may remember, they used a third party shop, Vinci HiPerformance in Orlando to do all the testing. The car used in 2001 is the same one they used in 2000. Some slight changes with the car made it a bit down on power over 2000, but there are comparison graphs between the two years just to keep things "apples to apples".

The following converters were tested this year:
Yank Truck Thruster 2600/ Stealth Thruster 2800 (278mm)
Yank Torque Thruster 3000 2.5 STR (265mm)
Yank Truck Thruster 3000/ Stealth Thruster 3200 (278mm)
SLP 3300 (245mm)
Yank Super Thruster 3500 (245mm)
PI Vigilante 3200 (245mm)
Pro Yank 3600Extreme (258mm)
Yank Super Thruster 4000 (245mm)
Yank Ultra Thruster 4800 (245mm)

Awesome information!

The bigger Yanks are better. BUT in my case I can get my Vig 2800 upgraded to a 3600 for nothing. I would be a fool to pass that up!

Great info. Wish he would post stuff for the converters used in the TH350 and TH400 kits. All I know is that it is a race converter, non-lockup, 9" converter. I think I may need to have mine rebuilt for NA now since I am no longer running the turbo.

Great info, confirming my suspicion that the ST4000 (on order) would work just like a big Vigilante, only better in every way <img src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" border="0" alt="[devil]" /> . Now, where are my slicks ....?????

Patick G, there is a dyno sheet of the TP4400 Extreme w/ N20. Just wonder how big a N20 shot it was in that run.

The shot on the N2O run was a .052 jet in an NX kit...about a 100 shot.
