I've had my stall for about 5 days, and in the process, i've had a million ses lights, which turned out to be a melted o2 wire which I fixed. But the entire time, i've only felt the converter lock twice, both times with codes thrown. It locked right where it should, at 45 miles an hour and felt normal. I don't know what would cause it to lock sometimes but not others. I've tried leaving it in third, but it won't lock. Any ideas? Do i have to get my pcm tuned to the converter?

more than likeley it is a tuning issue related to missfire detection. Do some searching here and in the PCM section.
I took the easy fix and had my missfire detection turned off, converter locks up hard every time now.
