Default Tranny or stall?

I have a built Team Tripp Tranny and a Vigi 3600. Had it for about a yr, about 4 passes at the track an about 12,000 thousand miles on it. My question is the convertor doesn't lock up anymore and seems to be abnormally high rpm's at any speed. It shifts fine and hard under part throttle but hits the rev limiter @ WOT. And A couple of times when I go WOT it would act like it was in neutral. So is it the tranny or convertor or both? I drained the fluid it was dark brown but didn't smell burnt, just look dirty. Thanx in advance!

I'm gonna say burnt 3/4 clutches. When my tranny went out, it would shift just fine under part throttle, but at WOT I could not shift 2-3 w/o hitting the rev limiter. And this was with a supposed level 4 tranny and cooler.

dark fluid=smoked tranny ill bet the converter is OK but will need cleaned out. converter will also not lockup from random missfires. have you checked for any codes?
