What brand dexronIII ?
Tentatively putting my converter in this friday, got just about everything i need, but now to get some tranny fluid. Went to pick up a case at autozone and just not sure what brand to get, i know not to get synthetic, just to stick with dexron/mercon III, but any particular brands good? I was just going to get the Proline stuff at pep boys today.. the valvoline only seems to come in a higher mileage formulation, and mobil is synthetic... Any input would be great! thanks

i use B&M trick shift.
they advertise a non foaming formula, a problem i was having with havoline.
i have a huge converter(yank 4400, no lockup) and after some interstate driving (200 miles) he is pretty warm, and actually heats the motor up a bit on a long trip.
after switching to the B&M, there is no foaming with the heat, and my engine runs about 10 degrees cooler after long, heavy driving.
only downside is the bluish color. hard to read on the stick.
