Is there a plug?
And if I take it some where to get it changed out how much should I pay I don't want to be taken advantged of thinks?

you gotta take the pan bolts out to change the fluid, or if you get an aftermarket pan those usually have a drain plug in it. shop cost, I'm unsure

You can also make your own plug out of and o2 bung or an old oil pan. If you use an o2 bung all you need to do is drill the hole and weld in the bung and then find a bolt and nylon washer to seal it. or just keep taking the pan bolts out to drain.

The last time I changed tranny fluid it took 4 qts of fluid, a new gasket, and a filter. Can't remember how much it was but you can look at any parts store online for the filter and I got Valvoline Dexron III at Wally-World.

I did a neat little trick to keep from getting fluid all over me when I dropped the pan. I bought some clear hose at Home Depot and slipped it down the filler tube. Then I took my metal 5gal used oil container and put a hole in the top slightly smaller than the hose. I slipped the hose into that little hole, put my big-*** vacuum nozzle over the spout and sucked out the fluid. Took about 5 mins. or so. Lots quicker than cleaning up the mess, and there was no mess in the driveway!

As an added bonus, the little hole acts like a vent and keeps the oil from glugging when I dump it at the parts store.
