Default 4l60e

major problem for me atleast, I can be going down the road at 70 and my RPMs will surge from 2-2500 and when its been running for awhile it'll quit surging and its getting worse every day, also I can't give it full throttle because when its about 4 grand it falls on its face and will slowly and I mean slowly rise to 5500 and then shift HARD but if I keep it about 60% it'll do fine and shift at 4 grand...a friend of mine suggested that it was the bands inside slipping and it just needed to be retightned. The tranny has 135k miles on it.
