Default help with major ?'s on convertor decision

I have a 2000 T/A and i am going to purchase a Vig 3200 stall.

1st ? the code on the side of my door panel reads GU2 which i was told means that i have 2.73 gears.

2nd ? is the 3200 good for my gears.

3rd ? I've heard that the 3200 is rated like a 3500 Does this mean that i will have to get it tuned. Anything over 3300 the computer will think that the trans is slipping. I will havw to recalibrate the PCM

The vig will work great with 2.73's. The 2 series carrier is fairly strong, i'd stick with it unless you really get into major mods. It'll be a little loose at first but you'll get use to it, that and raising shift points/properties will help firm it up.

3300 sounds more like an lt1 issue. evey stalled car can benefit from some tuning but it will work untuned.

smokin hit that right on the head, at first it will seem Sluggish at part throttle, just get on the gas a little and it will remind you why you put it in =)
