93 Camaro what tranny ?

93 Camaro what tranny ? o.k. since I recently bought this red headed step child, I have been told I have 1 of 3 different transmissions in it. Can anyone verify what I have or tell me what to look for on the tranny?

93 cars have 4L60, which is another name for the 700R4, 94+ have 4L60E.
4L60 will have a TV cable that runs from the right side of the trans to the throttle body. 4L60E = electronic [computer control] no TV cable.

If your car is an LT 1, the only trans that is a direct replacement is one from a 93 LT 1 F body, the electrical connector on the 93 LT 1 is round & has five pins on it. If you build a different year trans you will need the valvebody and harness from a 93 LT 1. I believe the others are 4 pin connectors. The F body trans also has a different tail housing for torque arm attachment.
