Will Vig 2800 roast the tires?
Haven't made my mind up on a Vig 2800, Vig 3200 or Yank Thruster 3200? How's the top end on the Vig's? Yank SY3500 too expensive.

Number Zero pump Vigi is the most efficient converter available on the top end...this is not disputed by Yank. On radials the converter does smoke the tires. I usually roll out very gently and get 1.8 60fts. With ET streets I have seen people get 1.6's all day long with that converter. With all the mods the converter works out great...I haven't had any problems with it and it was really easy to install! Oh, and it can hold up to nitrous if you plan on spraying!!!

Yes it will roast the tires if you just floor it off the line. Even on my Nitto's I still couldn't hook up on the streets if I went WOT from a dead stop. You have to learn how to roll into it like the other guy said and you'll definitely need some good DR's(Nitto's or BFG's).

From what I know, I have the best 60 ft using the Vig 2800 of cars running N/A and with a 3400+ lbs curb weight. Last time at the track I cut two 1.64s, and a 1.65 in route to my new best of 11.98. I do have a cam, but I don't have headers. I like my Vig 2800, but I will likely step up to something a tad bigger soon.

How does this converter stack up to other Vigs from a roll. How about comparable Yanks? I want to switch converters for roll purposes but I like the off the line performance.

I have the Vig.3200 and love it
With that and 3.73's w/ Nitto's I cut a 1.62 60ft and a number 1.64's
Very good all around converter

I can roast my Nittos off the line with my 2800 and I have the wimpy 273 in back. The 3200 would have a little advantage from a roll over the 2800 and not really give up anything in top end as they are almost identical in efficiency.

I'm the exception to this rule.

I hate to "me too" the above comments, but I'm really happy with the Yank 3000 in my daily driver. The SY3500 probably would have been a good choice too though.
