Question Which B&M kit should I buy?

I found 2 kinds
1st one is Shift Kit, Transpak = $61Here is the link
2nd one is Shift ImproverTranspak =$32Here is the link
The car is daily driver and I do not race too much. Do I need to rebate the Trans to install the shift kit?

If it was mine I would give the guys at pro-built automatics a call. They have a modified trans-go kit that is about $100 shipped. They change some of the hole sizes and a few other things that make the trans last longer. Just my $.02 though.
If you want to call them they are a sponser and they are on the board here some.

I agree buy TransGo from Pro Built. Stay away from B&M.

A B&M kit focuses on giving the trans harder shifts that seems to be their main goal.
Firmer shifts are fine but the way they go about doing it is not.
Transgo kits allow for more firm shifts plus they improve problem areas such as shift valves that stick or wear they provide self cleaning shift valves. And the pwm valve for the converter lock up that reduces wear in the valve body bore, etc.

B&M has springs to increase line pressure, drill bits to drill holes bigger, spacers to block accumulators, thats about it.

B&M invented the high stall converter, transgo invented the shift kit. Transgo has patents on most of their stuff so other companies need to find other ways to modify the trans to get the same result. This usually results in a less superior product.

another vote for trans go, i dont have the probuilt modified kit but wish i had gotten it. Nothing wrong with the regular kit, just that the probuilt kit is more specific to our cars..
