NO! we stopped building low priced converters about 8 years ago.
we only build converters that are heavy duty and are for special cars that need the stronger more costly parts inside, as we only use New, not salvage yard regutted components in our converters.
If you are looking to get a low priced unit, stay with the company's that build to that market!
Good luck with you choice.

You won't find a good Yank for anywhere near 360. I just payed Almost 800 for mine brand new, and it's absolutely amazing, the quality of this thing. SS4000. It's great. Go with Yank.

89lx-ls1,
Thanks for the conversation we had yesterday. I think, with your setup, you will be extremely happy with the Fuddle Racing Performance Converter 3800/2.2. Don’t let anyone convince you that the quality is sub-par or that it won’t hold up to what you are throwing at it. The Performance converter is built to be both very high quality and economical. It will take a lot of abuse, and you will find our warranty to be extremely easy to work with. Compare that to other companies. Our warranty is no holds barred; we fully back up every converter and make no restrictions. Don’t let yourself be fooled by the smoke and mirrors tactics some companies hang onto. Affordable does not mean lower quality; it just means we work hard to give you a high quality converter for less money.

Could you elaborate more on your use of the term "special car"? What about a car that never sees 1320? Do you manufacture/offer an affordable version for an LS1 that is street driven only and not abused?
Thanks and looking forward to your reply.

Special car is one that gets parts that much effort was given for the selection of the items picked.
The converter is your link between the engine and transmission and the right choice will yield the most power & performance out of the car, if you just want a converter to give you some boost in performance than any converter will do, you do not need to spend more money for a true special converter
We do not build low priced converters as we have found out in the last 20 years of building for the performance car owner that they always add to their cars performance (you want MORE POWER )and we build converters to allow you to do that.
It cost money to use custom high standard billet parts for max power transfer, it's just like building a engine you can have a 350 stock or custom built 350 It is your choice to match your needs
Again good luck on your choice!

I agree 110%. It's about time someone stepped up and filled a long overdue niche for us guys that want a little more performance/fun on the street, do not abuse a car and the car never sees 1320 ft on the weekend. $800 is a lot of money for a "supposedly" better quality converter that has a warranty period less than GM's. LOL
It appears to me other manufacturer's are and will continue to limit their gross sales by not manufacturing an affordable converter for a 375 HP street only driven vehicle.

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I want to quickly chime in and let you know that not only are Fuddle Racing Performance ($360 on sale) converters great for 375 hp cruisers, but they are also more than proving themselves at handling big power. We rate them to handle 550hp, but experience has shown us it can handle much more. We have cars putting down more than that with no problems on our Performance Converter. If a customer wants to step up the best converter available, look into our HP/Street Converter.
Again thanks,
John
