Default Ok to install SFCs with no motor/tranny?

everybody makes a big deal about needing to have the weight on the tires so that the chassis is loaded when installing subframe connectors, so i was wondering do you guys think it would be a bad idea to put connectors on without the weight of the motor and tranny on the car?

I personally wouldn't. I don't think it will make that big a deal really because of how the load is distributed (as opposed to welding them in on a frame lift - which I don't think is a good idea), but I wouldn't want to chance it.

I'd be another one to wait until the engine/trans is back in the car
