has anyone ever done this? how is it as far as reliability is concerned?

I know it was tried on a car, but OD did not work. It was not done in controlled circumstances so it's not clear if it was install error that caused OD not to work.

I have talked to FLP/Chuck about doing it on my tranny, might still try it before the beginning of racing season.

Hey John, is that the guy that had the homemade bracket off to the right of the shifter and used roller switches on the gearshift and a master sw to disable the tranny computer? I cant remember where I saw the website.

lol, that guy with the micro switches was me.
I had full manual control in any gear including OD.

A built 700r4 with a manual valvebody will be going in mine this month . I never even thought of trying to do this with the 4l60E . Internally ...less the valvebodies , both trannies are the same right ?
