Yes. Hopefully you have the 323 gears and not the 273 gears.
I went with a 3,200 stall and changed my gears to 342's.

It is best to, that way you can change your shift points, lock up and line pressure ( shift firmness ) ect. I had mine done right away so I cant tell you how it felt without the tune. I did alot to the car all at once.

Would i be alright with my tires or would the spin to much or it all depends on my foot right

Would it be wise just to go with 3.73 instead of a stall with stock tires. Which in your opinion would be better i doubt i will see much time on the track just lookin to beef my car up for around the street.
