Default TH350 Info Needed All Help Appreciated!

i did a th350 swap into my t/a and was wondering why it would not move. If i do not use the adapter plate will i need to shim my converter? if so how do i do this? people have told me the adapter plate is a waste of money but i dont know. The problem is i bolted up the th350, all 5 bolts, and the motor will not turn over by myself turning the crank. I figuered it has to be a clearence issue between the pump on the transmission to the converter, or either it is a shimming issue. All help would be greatly appreciated, and if i have to shim my yank converter i would like to know the best way to do this. Thanks Everybody.

Matt

The converter isn't engaged in the pump. Lucky you didn't crack the trans housing.
Never use the bolts to draw the trans to the engine.

I would take the converter bolts out and see if it spins, if not loosen the tranmission to engine bolts.

So you started the car and it won't go? or the motor won't turn over?

did the converter spin freely after bolting the trans on? before bolting the bolts on the converter?
