Default Weird slipping..

So Fri. night I made it out to the track..

My first run was fine.. no slipping what so ever..

But my second run, my 2nd->3rd shift it hit the rev limiter, and I had to get off the throttle and get back into it..

On the drive home, and the past couple days, I have tryed to get it to slip again, but it won't..

Is this normal, or am I on track to having to build my tranny?

I have had the same thing as you just had. Mine had sat all day and I took my cousin for a ride and it slipped bad at around 5,900 going from 2-3 also. tried it again and not as bad but did it again.

Next morning I took it out for a drive and decided to try it again and perfect no problems.

I was told it could be when the fluid is cold it may do it. Once it is warmed up it wont do it since the fluid thins out.

I Would like a answer also,

Sounds like you got overly hot in the fluid, and the
hydraulics did not work as quickly. Line pressure is
meddled with, by the PCM based on trans fluid temp
and the changing viscosity also alters the mechanical
action.

If you don't have a trans cooler, go big, go now.

Never experienced cold slip myself, though I've seen
it said that the converter won't lock when cold (?).
Hot slip, yessir.
