Question Vaccum modulation?'s

With vaccum modulation there is constant line pressure instead of the computer deciding on it according to set parameters, correct? Now with vaccum modulation you can still have lockup w/ the converter right? Thanks, Nick

well from what i was told it keeps the line pressure up so you can set your line pressure back to stock, if you dont it will push fluid back into the lines, also it makes it so the shifts are softer at part throttle and yeah you can still lockup your TC.

Vacuum modulation changes line pressure as soon as the vacuum conditions change (throttle opening). It will keep the line pressure low when the vacuum is high. It has a wider range of line pressure than the EPC solenoid. The computer settings (as to line pressure) are ineffective when you use the vacuum modulator.

So basically at idle and part throttle line pressure is lower and at WOT line pressure is higher and you shift harder, faster when at WOT. You take the computer totally out of the line pressure equation when you go vaccuum modulation?
