Default Bad rattle ofter TC install

http://members.torquecentral.com/joel/rattle.mpgright click save as

I cannot find this rattle. I have removed the console and checked everything. Nothing I can find is rattleing under the console. This rattle started after I got my TC installed.. I looked under the car and could not find anything either! It only happens around 60-70 MPH.. At lower speeds sometime you can hear it as well but it is not popping as quickly

no it is about 30 seconds long. Save it to disk before you play it. It will not stream it.

Little more info.. It seems to only do it around 2000 - 3000 rpm.. If I go faster it goes away.

You might want to check your flexplate bolts as well. I torqued mine to the factory spec after I put in a TCI plate and a Stall. They were loose before I had it off the rack. I had to locktite and do about 100 foot pounds.

i heard that the tci flexplates had problems due to the powdercoating and the fact that the holes are for bigger bolts, the size only used by tci and their converters.

I had a bit of a rattle going and it went away, but my guess is that the tranny cooler lines are touching somewhere.

did you by chance change the tranny mount when you put the converter in? I put one of these "Energy Suspension" Poly mounts in mine and it vibrated like hell....the bolts that went into it were too long and bottoming out inside the mount causing it to become sollid. A few washers and it it went aways.

Other than that.... rather than a rattle, that looks a like a bad vibration. If it only does it at certain RPMs something might be out of balance. converter?
