Is there any way to just simply wire an LED that would illuminate when the converter is locked? How hard would this be, any help would be appreciated.

well, im sure you could tap into the lockup wire (what you use for the lockup switch) and run an led to it, and ground the other side. when it gets voltage (from locking up) it would light- right?

LOL, man... aint that the truth. Just driving around, when this Yank locks up.... The RPM's drop from 3500 or so to 1400. VERY noticeable.
