Default yank ss3600 owners please help

what 60' are you guys getting with this converter. I have one in my 99 ss and can only get 1.9xx on motor and 1.8xx on the juice. I know it can do better but if i brake stall to 2500 when i hit it it spins bad . i currently have mt drs on stock 16" wheels but they aint helping. Can anyone tell me how to get a better 60' I think with some slicks it could get high 1.6xx or low 1.7xx. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

What air pressure are you running the MT's at? Are you giving them a good burnout?

I would try some different launching techniques like rolling into the throttle and not even brake stalling until you get a good feel of the car and how much you can push it before you break the tires loose.

Do you have any suspension mods?

i have umi lca and phb . I usually have about 16 psi cold seems to work best but have tried as low as 12 and as high as 20psi. Usually do a 3-4 sec burn out cause the longer the burn out the worse traction i see

1. 10+ sec. burn out
2. Launch @ 1700 rpm
3. Tire pressure @ 15 psi

Best of 1.61 60' on 17 inch Fikse fm5's and nitto drag radials.

i use bfg's and cut 1.7x 60's all day, run them at about 16psi, a quick 1st-2nd gear burn out. Best of high 1.6 60's. I usually brake stall it to about 2k and then flash it

Its all in the burn out. Get tire the tire pressure down to 15-18 psi. Do a nice 5+ second burnout, make sure you didn't drive through the water box before doing a burnout (back up into it instead if you can). Stalling up to 2500 sounds good to me. Also, if your local track sucks at prepping the track then thats your real problem.

Yeah, i'm guessing track prep might be poor. Talk to some of the guys at the track and see what kind of 60ft times they are getting and if they are happy with them. I'm going to the track this weekend for the 1st time after installing my Yank SS3800 to see what I can do with good track prep and bald F1's....lol, should be interesting!

What RPM are you launching? Run it up...I had to get over thinking i'd red light with the SS3600...consistently better with practice.
