After my posi was mis-machined Joseph & I decided to install a spool & 4.30 gears to see if the TA can 60' a little better Best on 4.10s was 1.53 so we're hoping to sneak a 1.4x 60' They are definately more agressive than the 4.10s, Joseph & I were cruising around in 6th at 40mph!
I did learn a few things from the install!
1. Spools suck!
2. Its hard to crush a 12 bolt crush sleeve!
3. The TA is loud! LMAO

I have a spool with 4.11s in mine and 275's on the back. It isnt too bad and you dont have to worry about one wheel spinning.
Tire wear is accelerated though for sure and drive slow in the rain.
Cheers,
Chris

Are you sure that's not from the 28" ET Drags and no catback?

doh! I forgot you're blingin' around on street tires now. Just floor it around corners, and that should swing the tail end of the car around for ya.

wimps . ive driven mine as my everyday driver with a spool for that last year and a half. even drove it all winter in the snow and ice with it. i love the spool . btw, i have 4.33 gears, love those too
I've done it before, its not that bad. I'm not sure which route I'm going to go on my 2001, but if I want to go spool I can get a budget Moser 9". I built the 9" I had on my 93 z28 for around $1500 total.
