Default A4 Shifter Linkage Problems!!!

My shifter linkage in my car is broken and I need to remove the console to access it I suppose since I havent tried to remove it yet. I need to know how to remove the stock shift **** to get the console out right?? I just can seem to figure it out... Yeah I sound like an idiot but I just havent put a whole lot of effort into it because I have been affraid of messing something up. If anyone can provide me with some info I would aprreciate it!!

Should be a slide in clip in the front of the shifter T-handle (radio side). Pull that out and it should come right off.

You're in luck, I have changed mine.

There a staple lookin' clip in the back of the shifter handle.

You need to get the car UP to to do this.

I don't have the Helms handy, but you have to make sure you put the trans into neutral or something... and the same with the shifter.

If the car is up it will take like 30 minutes.
