700R4 to 4L60E

My question is this, since the 4L60E is based on the 700R4 would the clutches and steels and bands from a rebuild kit for a 700R4 fit a 4L60E?

yes, its all interchangable (including hard parts except the pump housing) except for the VB gaskets and filter.
