Default Slipping at WOT?

my tranny shifts fine all the time except when im cruising along at about 50-60 and punch it, it feels like its slipping. it takes 2-3 slips before it catches. after it does it and pisses me off, i try it again and again and it wont do it. also when im at a dead stop and in overdrive and lanch when it comes to the first shift it wants to slip also. the car just turned over 19000......any ideas

Are you saying it gets to 6k RPMs and bangs off the rev limiter a few times? Sounds like it's time for a rebuild.

Try adding 3/4 of a quart of fluid to see what happens. Let me know?

The stick could be reading wrong, and I have seen this several times before. Add 3/4 of quart to what you already have (overfill).
