I need serious help and fast

i AM WORKING ON MY CAR AND RAN INTO A MAJOR PROBLEM. I don't know hwo to remove the automatic shift ****. If you know how could you please tell me and soon. It is a 96 WS6 thanks

Should be the same as mine - turn the key and move the lever back, on the front side of the **** is a small staple, pry it out with a small screw driver, then lift straight up.
