Is a 4l60e and 700r4 converters interchangeable?

Yes they are but it depends on the application. any LS1 camaro or TA has a different convertor but you could take a convertor out of a 90 chevy truck with a 700r4 and put that same convertor in a 97 chevy truck. But you cant take a conv. out of a 97 camaro and put it into a 98. 98 and up have a 300mm convertor so it has a different input shaft. But a 01 corvette has the same conv. as a 97 camaro. So be careful.

thanks for clarifying. I had a 99 ls1 ta converter and I thought about putting it in my '86 blazer 'cause I put a diesel tc in the blazer and it's cam don't like the deisel tc.
