Went to the track and the tranny wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear.....no 1st, 3rd, or 4th.

But is drives fine after I restart it? Drove it home fine fromt he track in OD and had 0 problems other than this one instance.

So what does that mean, tranny farting letting me know it is about to take a big ****?

So this can be taken out with programing how! Search does nothing!

 

HP Tuners, or look in the Vendor Index for anybody who does PCM programming.

 

I've had the same problem before at the track where the tranny locks in 2nd and that's it. Have to get the code taken out with tuning.

 

it is limp mode...if the tranny is stalled over 3k for more than 3 seconds it will put itself in limp mode. i found this out the hard way, as well.

 

Tell me about it. Do you happen to know what the code is? I've forgotten.

HOLY CRAP!!!! Thank you guys so much! That explains everything....I remember now what happend, I was starting the burnout and when it shifted into second gear the rpms droped and stayed I guess stalling the converter....THANKS GUYS!

 

Thanks for the code. Yeah get the code deleted and the problem will go away.
