TC or Gears
TC or Gears Wich would be the better choice to do first TC or gears. I have a set of 3.73 gears on the way but havent put them in yet. I have a A4 that is why I choose the 3.73. But since I have been reading more about the TC's I'm haveing second thoughts on the gears first. Your opions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
gears feel fast, but a high stall makes you fast. Gains from 3.23s to 3.73s are not huge and the gain from 2.73 comes with a huge penalty in increased highway rpms.
For an A4, the 2 best mods are a stall and tuning software. The stall will knock at least .4 off and as much 1 second on 2.73 car. The tuning software make not make you much faster, but being able to change your part throttle shift points, downshifts, and torque converter lock-up to meet your driving needs will make the car much more fun to drive. Then you will have the software for when you start modding your engine.
