rev limiter?

Default rev limiter?

will a shift kit and a tune stop me from hiting the rev liiter 2-3 times on the 2-3 shift?

The shift kitwill not do anything to stop that. but while tuning, lower your shift points. What are your shift points set at now? mine used to be set at 6800 and I had the same problem, now they're set at 6500 but by the time it actually shifts its at about 6750 to 6800.

Well if he gets a shift kit that allows for full manual then he can shift before he hits the limiter and not have to worry about it.

its on stock tune so i think my shift point is at 6200

stock rev limiter is 6199, stock shift point is 6k, i believe.

my tranny was doin the same thing. mine is entirely stock though. took it to a James Lovelady of Trans Werks and it turned out that my clutches were worn and so were my 2nd and 4th gear. why is it that GM did such a crappy job on the 4L60E trannys?
