what is a billet cover? Is it important and worth extra expense?

A billet cover is stronger and can also be lighter!!
Stock covers are made of thin gage steel pressed into shape that will warp under load and pressure this will allow for clutch issuses (slipping and shudder) and a loss in performance as the internal clearances will open up
