Default Help!!!!! no 1st or 4th

I have no 1st or 4th Gear, all of a sudden the car doesn't start off in 1st, instead it starts off in second and only goes up to 3rd. Even if i manually bring it down to 1st it still won't engage. also another thing I got the code off by using the tech II but I can't remember the number only that it said 1-2 shift solenoid.

this went from driving perfect to all of a sudden not working.

If you reset the computer and it still does this you could have something clogging your shift solenoid. You can try just pulling out the solenoid and cleaning it. I used some brake cleaner and popped it back in. Worked fine.

You can also get the code with a bigger converter. What converter are you running?

Yeah. Pretty easy to swap. Once you remove the clip it should come right out. I forget which is A and B but it should come up with a search.

Like I said before though. Sometimes they just get clogged and can be cleaned. I think it's only like $15 for it anyway.

eddie from my experience for the cash might as well change them both. if one goes out the other is not usually far behind.
