How come my 94' A4 mph gages top out at 115? I know the M6 top out way higher, but I've seen other A4's say like 160mph. And I'm talking about a stock car with stock gearing. Can someone fill me in?

 

there were a few years where they put two different speed rated tires on the cars from the factory. My 95 M6 car that I used to have topped out at 115 as well. It wasn't only A4's that were this way. The car also has the top end electronically controlled as well. Again, it's based on the tires and the speed rating. About any of the programmers will remove this for you... just make sure your tires won't let you down. I'm sure others will be able to give you more details as far as tire rating if you really need it.

That makes sense. I also have another question like this. It isn't about the tranny so don't freak out and say wrong forum. I wasn't sure if I had the 10 speaker option for my trans am. It has the 2 speakers in front,2-middle,2-rear. Thats six unless you count the tweeders to make it 10. So does my car have the 4-speaker or 10-speaker option?
