Default Need Help!

I'm doin a torque converter install and the tranny will not come off the damn dowel pins. I've sprayed them with WD-40, tryed pryin on the tranny, and hit it with a rubber mallet. But it still wont budge. Anyone got any ideas on how to get it out of there

I know this might sound nuts, take a screw driver, place it between the block and bellhousing. Hit it with a hammer driving it between the two. This should start to seperate the two. Just make sure everything is unbolted first. When it starts to split wiggle, pry, swear, bitch and then slowly lower to the ground. Last step is get a cold beer! Hope this helps...

I have hooked a come-a-long to the tranny (on the torque arm mount) and to the rear end, then winch away. I would try the screw driver wedge/pry technique again first.

Sounds like the MF is just about ready to fall out of there! Take a little tension off the jack, wiggle, pry, bitch, swear,BOYAA! It's out of there!! Don,t forget the last step once it's on the ground! Sounds like you really earned it. Cold beer yumm! Keep us updated, hope in the end it's all worth it!
