th350 swap from t56
Putting in a th350..... 3800-4500 stall...
The thing is i run a 9in with 4.56 gears...... a 28 in tall tire....
how fast can i go with a redline of 7200 rpms.........
and with the trex camshaft how will the 3800-4500 stall work????
i also have plans for NX 150- 200 shot.... will this setup work out??

go to a gear calculator. they are online. i know that with a 28" tire, 4.10 gear and 7200 rpms that is going to be about 135 mph give or take a few mph. so 4.56 would keep you in the 128-129 mph range. i would recomend nothing short of a 4400 stall n/a for that cam. for peak performance, 4800 stall would be good.
spend your money on a good th400 and neal chance converter IMO. since they are the best and you are local.

i wont put a th350 in my car., thats for sure. for just a bit more money you will have a 1000 hp capable tranny. sure it weighs a bit more but still. too many guys break th350s.
also i was meaning a 4800 stall on the spray. you need to talk to the converter builder and give them all your specs and goals. it will be a dog n/a unfortunately but thats automatic racing.

if you want the TH350, that's fine, but i'd just stay N/A with it. if you want to spray 150+ at it.. then go with a TH400. the 400's are stronger and cheeper to build.
but i think n/a with that set up, a 4,800+ converter would be awesome w/ the 4.56 gears and 28" tire. i don't think you'd be able to running spray w/ that gear though, atleast not that much.

Agree, NA your gear/tire combo with cam is good, with a nice large stall. On spray you'll run out of gear. I am running a TH350, larger cam than the MS3, 4000stall, 3.23 gears, spraying a lil 120shot and crossing traps at 6200rpm on smaller 26" tire. I plan on setting up the second stage shortly, then I am sure the rpm at trap will be in the range of 7000, where I want it. Once my wheels get here, I can use the total rpm vs 3.23 vs 26" tire and calculator the correct gearing for 28" tire. I am thinking its going to be 3.50 as was recommended by many others. And as Gator said, make sure the TC is spec'd for Nitrous, if not, on a 4800 you'll blow through the rev limiter on a 200shot.
