Default Drive Shaft Yoke

I posted this question in the conversions forum as well, I apologize for cross posting but was not sure where I would get the best answer. I am doing a conversion and am looking at the Drive shaft yoke from my donor TransAm and it has a metal ring around it that looks like a small balancer. I have a 4L60E Transmission. I plan to use the drive shaft, after some shortening, that I had in the car plugged into a Turbo 350. The splines of the yokes are the same, in fact I am using the T350 yoke as a plug in the 4L60E right now to keep fluid in while I move the motor in and out. Can I use my T350 yoke or does the 4L60E need the specific yoke with the "balance" ring?

thanks for your help
