Ok..
I don't know what i'm doing wrong.. but we have broken 2 hex sockets.. and 1 wrench (all craftsman if that matters) trying to remove the damn converter from the flywheel...
Huh!!! WTF!

Are yours bolts?Mine were a T-50 torx bit.If not I dont know.I used a prybar in the inspection plate to hold the flywheel and just used a 1/2" ratchet with a T-50 torx and they broke loose fairly easy.
I did whack the ratchet a couple times with the side of my fist to nudge them loose while a buddy held the pry bar.Are you sure your turning them the right way?If your looking into the hole from the front, they turn to the left.
Anyway I hope you get it figured out.I know that pain in the but bolts can be a mess. Those bolts are in a tight place as well and it would suck to strip them!
Good luck!

To my understanding..
Camaros got 5/16 Allen head
TAs got T50 Torx heads..
I don't know what do to do now.. i'm stuck to hell.. all my knuckles and elbows are bleeding...
Do they have locktite or any sort of thread locker?
This sucks big time.. I may have to remove the damn header so i can move around...

Your understanding is incorrect! GM used the same T50 on ALL 4L60E/4L65E converter/flexplate combinations. By using an allen tool on a Torx bolt, you are not going to get it out.

UHH, where did i read that... Thanks Flame..
However, a T50 and a 5/16 Allen is "allmost" the same..
In fact, the sockets failed from the socket itself, not a stripped bit, so the allen bit is making perfect contact.
The bolts are intact... i'm applying all the force we have by hand.. they wont come out.. WD40.. nothing.. NADA...
I'm pretty pissed off, because i have searching all around and no one ever had a problem removing those damn bolts..
Anyway.. just a few mins ago, a friend brought a T50 socket.. we tried.. same ****.. wont turn.. and we are trying REALLY hard..
attached a pic of the bolt..

WOW.. any flexplate injuries?
I was so stressed and mad about it that i was just going to drill them.. but i dont know if that will help or if i will just end with stripped head bolts and a stuck converter...

well yes.. i was positive that was allen head.. Till Flame said all of them were torx i was sure of it...
In fact.. the T50 bit sits loosey... so i just kept going with the Allen.. snugs the bolt perfectly..
But this bolts are sure way beyond 35ft/lbs..

Bah, bought some matco hex/T50 bits.. The bolts are finally and badly starting to strip .. they are just too damn tight..
Talked to the guy that built my tranny, they said they use an impact gun to tight them.. Cool.. i know where not to return..
I will just drill them to hell..
