ford atx dual output torque converter
Ok i know its not ls1 but i am out of ideas. Has any one ever heard of this? I know it was a mix of mechanical and hydrolic. I think it was used in the atx trannys dont know what cars though. I have been trying to find info on this all night and have come up bone dry. If any one has a pic of one or has a web site that has info that would be awsome. This is a last resort i am kicking my own *** trying to find info on this.

around the donut part there are fins that throw fluid (the hydraulic part?)
but in the middle is this clutch..
its a Yank SS4000, but the stocker had pretty much the same thing going..

IIRC the ford trans doesn't use a tc clutch, instead it couples the input directly to the pump cover in fourth. So basically fourth is always locked up. The clutch is inside the trans.
Or something close to that, I read that and looked at the illustrations about 4 years ago, never owned a ford trans so I read it and forgot it.
