Default Anybody running a Powerglide?

Hey guys, don't hear much on here about Powerglides and was just wondering if anybody is running one? If so, how do you like it?

Some guys in the FI group run them - Stenod, Ohio boys (?), and I think Speed inc has a few. Haven't heard of many motor/nitrous guys though.

search "next"

he has run 9.7x on the stock bottom end and nitrous. ran 9.1@148 with the 408 and nitrous @ 3400 lbs. powerglide.

many others run a glide here too. most are big forced induction boys.

I'll do a little searching around in the FI section. Just wondering because I knew they were strong and great for drag racing but hadn't ever really heard much about them. Just trying to learn a bit more about them.

a powerglide is more for a lighter car that is why its not as popular but with the aftermarket parts i know of guy run up to 2500 hp witha glide, and with a dedenbear case you can use all the ls1 bolts unlike the three speeds where you have to leave one out

you dont need a light car with a glide. this is not true at all. put the right converter and lots of tq and the glide will haul ***.
