Default transmission perform button on console??

there's this button on my console that says transmission perform. it has a little red light beside it too. whatever it is, it's stock. ive pushed it but i could never really tell if it was doing anything. anyone know what it is or does?

I had that on my 95 Ta.It was a factory shift improver.It is suppose to firm up shifts.

I too had it on my '95 TA, it just gives you more line pressure, which in turn gives you firmer shifts. Similar to what a lot of the transmission programmers do.
