Vig 2800 ?
I have seen post claiming high 1.6 60' times with bolt on cars using the vig2800. Why would someone want a ST3500 or vig3200 if they are running so close to the vig2800 (maybe not even as good)at the 60' mark? Are the ST3500 and the vig3200 running that much faster?
Thanks, Larry

The ST 3500 & Vig 3200 can put down a low 1.6x (and probably a few 1.59s) and that change on the 60' cuts more than .1 off your ET.

yeah, it's not all about the 60ft. with converters. the higher stalling converters also have a higher shift extension. i think that's what it is called. basically the rpm it drops to is higher than with a lower stalling converter. like my vig3200 comes down to like 4500, where as a TP4400 comes down to like 5000 or whatever, effectively keeping you in your powerband longer thereby making your car faster. it's all in what you want to do with the car.

also it will depend on which tires you want to run... the higher the stall.. the more limited traction would be... i think 2800vigs cut around low 1.7's generally... the 3200-3600 are in low 1.6's and upper-mid 1.5's on et streets <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
