Need help ASAP I ordered a lokar dip stick for my 4L60E and the shop gave me one for a 4L60....does any one know if the hole in the tranny is the same? I really do not feel like trying to get this one in and screwing it up if its the wrong size.

Did you remove your old dipstick boot from the case? It's been a while since I played with one of those sticks. Does the end that goes in the trans have like a lock-nut or nut to nut fitting?

it looks like its a nut to nut kind of fitting like i could unscrew it....
For some reason I think you either have to loosen that up first because the end has some sort of expansion deal to tighten it up in the case. Sorry to drag this out but the last time I used a lokar it was on an old steet rod. I don't do alot RNR these days. See if that works or I'll call my buddy at the street rod shop.
