I'm curious how these converters are performing..
I see few people with the ST3500 on the leader board but nobody with the ST3800 or ST4000. Why is that?
For those who are running one of these converters, how's it doin at the track?
From what I've read, the ST4000 should really hit hard and ET very well, just lack a little top end effeciency and MPH.

The yank st4000 looks interesting. Although it stalls at 4600rpms . Shouldnt it be called a st4600? I guess yank is following the vig rating system. The vig3600 actually stalls at 4200rpms. 600rpms higher than the rating. Maybe the st4000 should be called a yankvig4000. .
Imagine running it with a 2.73 gear with tall tires and locking it up in 2nd. Can you say powerglide?

Did you notice that the stock converter in baseline test flashed to 2100 rpm, substantially higher than what a stock converter is rated. When you correct for the fact that the stock converter also flashed higher than its true stall, you'll see the ST 4000 stalls pretty close to 4000. It may be as high as 4200, but no way will it stall 4600 in a typical stock cube NA LS1 application.

I haven't had a chance to make it to the track yet, weather hasn't been cooperating, but I will post my times as soon as I do.
So far my ST-3800 has been great. I don't drive my car around much but I've put a few hundreed miles on so far and no codes, no lock-up issues and I think the converter is very streetable. Only thing noticable is the stinkin' TM. It was there before the converter and is slightly worse after the converter, but LS1 Edit this summer will take care of that.

So how come I don't see many ST3800 , or any, on the NA leader list?
From the recent posts, ST3800 should out perform a Vig3200.. so how come I don't see many owners with these converters?
seems like the only converters runnin #'s are YTP4400 or vig3200. I see a few ST3500's in the list but no looser ST converters.

I had the ST-3500 in for about 6,000 miles before problems now have a PT-4000 and went to the track once and ran a 11.69 with TM cant wait for LS1EDIT to come out .Never had TM with ST-3500
By volume, there have been relatively few sales of the new ST3800 and ST4000. It takes about 6 months before they get out in quantity. I know there are guys using the 3800 running low 12s with bolt-ons and 2.73s.

The reason why you don't see many ST3800 times is that it's too new. Not many of the fast guys have them yet. That will change soon as I will be upgrading to one in a few weeks. Consider this converter #12!
