I have the same tires as you just different gearing. I also have a higher STR than your converter. Heat those nittos really well and they'll stick. I managed to stall at 4000, released the brakes and she still didn't spin!! Practice your technique.

I can't believe some of you guys can't brake stall your car to 1000 RPM with a 3000TC? That does not make sense, I could brake stall my car to 1500rpm with the stock TC and now with the Yank 3200/2.1 I can stall it up to almost 2500 without the tires breaking loose. I have only been to the track once since the H/C install and got a 2.0 60', I hope to make it tomorrow if the weather clears and see if it improves much now that I have the stall in the car. I can see the difficulty in the launch now...that 2.1 makes those tires spin easily from a stop, and hittin 3200 RPM from slow rolls ie less than 30mph and the tires spin. This should be an adventure tomorrow.

I have had BFG's, ET Streets, and Nittos... ET Streets hook the best but the ones that I had were CRAP for driving on... My BFG's still gave me my best 60' time (1.57) although I am comparing them to my crappy worn out ET Streets.
Nittos are the best for handling and drivability in my opinion because of the wear/traction balance.
The best way I have found to launch my car (on nittos) is to push the gas pedal down at a constant speed in about 2.5 seconds. If you rev the car up with those tires you are wasting your time. Just try to balance traction with power, you should be getting 1.7 60' times with your setup I think.

Well, my ET Street Radials arrived last Friday, and the track opens next Saturday, so hopefully I'll be trying them out. Just looking at them is enough tell you they're not for the street. I'll use them to drive to the track and back and that'll be it. Nittos for daily driving during summer.

Well I have the Nitto 555 Ex not the DR and stalling it up with brake on did not work and rolling into the throttle did not work unless I just rolled to quickly. I got consistent 2.2-2.3 60's and 1 1.9 60' which was my best run of the day. I was spinning through 1st gear. The tires were definitely my limiting factor. What you need is a heated up ET street and stab and go. I watched other Camaros do it all day long with similar set ups and more power...Nitrous etc. These guys would punch it with those ET streets and would dead hook, raise the front end off the ground and go.
