How to do a Burn Out?
On an auto tranny f-body how do you do a burn out with no line lock? I want to try just to know how do it, I don't plan on drag racing at a track or anything, I would just like to know the correct method. Obviously traction control is off

I start out with one foot on the brake one on the gas in first gear, get going and shift into second until it smokes good. Then let off the brake, move forward and slowly let off the gas. Don't let the gas off real quick.

what everyone else said... and if you're doing a really long one and you get sideways press down on the brakes a lil harder or let off the gas alittle bit and you'll striaghten out.

Being youre gonna do it in the street. I say throw some water on the ground first. Roll you back tires through it then pull up. Hold the brake, press the gas and let the smoking commence!

Yea, just dont have the gas pedal floored and let out the brake right away.....you're likely to lose the rear end. Its just like a stick shift, ease out the clutch, right.........ease out the brake at the end of the burnout and dont give it too much gas.
You can crawl away from a burn out real slow and still have the tires spinning, dont need to be doing 100mph or anything.
Just practice in an open parking lot and dont try it in the rain, I spun out bad being stupid.

even with bf goodrich drag radials, i step on the gas and the tires smoke. that stall gets me into a lot of ****. it will smoke the hell out of the tires, making me look like i have something, then i get confronted to race and have to pull the "i can't hook on the street"....which is lame for a car that only traps 105. sub 1.7 60s can't be had on the street.
