irratic idle after vig 3200 install

irratic idle after vig 3200 install does a converter have anything to do with my car idling WAY low? After installing my vig 3200 the car doesn't idle hugh enough.
can I adjust something mechanically to idle higher?
or will it need programming?

Re: irratic idle after vig 3200 install You can raise the idle by tightening up the idle screw on the TB. I think it needs either a 20 or 15mm torx bit. Do you have a-tap or a scanmaster to check the tps voltage? Stock tps is .46 I believe. You could also drill the hole in the TB up one size, but I think the idle screw is a better place to start.
Re: irratic idle after vig 3200 install When I first installed my Vig2800 I had the same problem. After a few days it returned back to normal. I think it does this because you have changes the amount rotating mass the engine has to turn. If I am incorrect someone please correct me.

Did you disconnect the battery during install? Could be the computer "re-learning".

Re: irratic idle after vig 3200 install You could try the idle relearn. That picked up my idle after the ST3500 install, but it never got rid of the surging. If my car idles in gear for a while at a drive through or such the idle will vary about 100 rpms almost rythmically up and down.

but my idle was low after the install.. i just raised mine on ls1 edit 100 rpms in gear and now its perfect
