Call Chuck at Finish Line.. he`ll answer any questions you may have, he`s been building transmission for 20 years... he`s the one that`s going to build it for you..

Or you can go to www.ls1speed.com and look at the tranny they have to offer, its got a 6 month 6000 mile warranty and its all for $1600, its a cheaper option if you don't want to spend the cash on the FLP...

Yeah, it's best for you to call Chuck at FLP. I will be getting one this year as well. It's the only 4L60E that's proven behind multiple cars running 10's in the 1/4. Give him a call. You won't be disappointed! BTW, it's a level 4, not a 6.

Do you guys know how much these trannies run?? I'll have to call sometime this week and I was wondering if you guys could estimate it first?

2K plus or minus a couple hundred. What you really want to take into consideration is who's going to stand behind their trannies if you happen to have any problems down the road. I went with the FLP Level IV not only because it's the best out there, but because their customer service is second to none.

J/k the trans is supposed to be great. Im ordering one in the next few months. I have dealt with mitch, dan and chuck at FLP and they are all great guys. Never once had an experience with any of them or their products that would make me think twice about what im purchasing. They will get you what you need, even if it costs them more in the long run to make you happy. Stick with the FLP trans and it should hold up to pretty large power levels. Good luck with your trans.

Always buy trannys local. If it goes bad, do you want to take it out and SHIP it back for repair?

Plenty of people have done the local "Jim-Bob" rebuild with unpleasant results. It's much better to deal with a reputable, straight-up company that's not close than it is to deal with a local that doesn't know a 4L60E from a TH350. FLP has proven their transmissions work. I've yet to see a "local" place do that.

I have had 2 dealer rebuilds and another from a supposedly "great transmission shop" (the current tranny) and I am not happy at all b/c I don't trust the car for just everyday driving!!!!! I am gunna see if I can get a hold of Chuck in the next couple of weeks and start saving up some $$$
