Default built 4l60e

I have recently been in an arguement over my tranny with a fellow member on ls2.com. Basically he wanted to trade his stock t-56 for a built 4l60e w/stall. heres the thread.

http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread...hreadid=364085

Any way he said my tranny wasnt worth the amount his STOCK t-56 is. I call b.s. on this guy. Any who he also says a stock t-56 can handle more hp than my fully built 4l60e. Then he has the nerve to bash my converter! Just wanted to get yall's thoughts, since I cherish them so

Its cool I still think my fully built tranny can handle more than a STOCK t-56. plus, I think his thread got deleted cuz alot of people were starting to trash him for being so ignorant.

A built 4L60E can hanle 700 + HP -- as long as you never put your foot in it!

As far as value between the two trannies, valve is in the eyes of the owner

Guess they were not Built then if it could not even support 420 HAHA..Or It it was a Poorly Rebuilt Job . Maybe your Stall was Extreamly To big Duno.I am sry on that Part. I dont mean to criticize But its the Truth. Or Maybe you spend like $400 and called that a built Tranny. Cause Properly built tranny will RUn you $2,000 and will support over 600

Well honestly it doesnt matter how much you spend on the rebuild, It matters who does it. I had mine done buy a "Good Ole boy" from the south who does nothing but tranny's. Thats where you find the good builders. Plus I really knew he meant business, when he told me that he only worked on chevy tranny's.

I'm at 450 on my stock tranny in a heavy *** GTO with a fuddle 3200. 11k miles, and over 100 passes, and the thing still shifts like new. Maybe I am just real lucky.
