Default 4l65e?

I know there are people running this tranny I did a quick search and no results about whats needed to swap it into a Fbody if any thing...

I figured my 4l60e has held up all this time...and the 4l65 should hold even more power im thinking this might be the route to go.

I'm curious about this too, how much power do these things hold safely?

It's a direct bolt in, but you need to use the the tailshaft from your 4L60E. GMPP sells them which is essentially the same trans which come in the C6 and GTO. For the price it actually better to switch to an aftermarket trans like FLT.

i doubt it could hold much more power being that so many people kill their 4l60e's with stock power and only some 4l65e parts make it into built transmissions. and it probably is about the same price as a built one, unless you find a used one but its really hit or miss.
