Default rattling noise coming from converter

there is a rattling noise coming from my converter. once i rev the engine past 1200 rpm, it goes away. any thoughts of what it may be? its a yank 4000 non-lock up for a th-350 w/maual valve body. also, there is fluid leaking out of a plastic stem @ the top of the tranny(driver's side). what is the deal with that. TIA...its been 2.5 years, and i finally finished my car, your help is appreciated.

I know their old ST3500's used to have a chattering problem in some cases, but I havnt heard much about the other brands making noise unless there was something wrong...
