Poppin noise on launch

Poppin noise on launch Lately while launching off a dead stop, I get a popping noise. Im not sure what it could be, I have checked the tranny fluid, filter ect... with nothing obvious, I also checked the diff and didnt notice anything wrong, no chipped gears ect... I did find a bad u joint and went ahead and changed both. however the noise is still there. I have played around with it to try and find a pattern, and can only get it to happed when I do a hard launch. I tried cruising down the highway and going WOT, and it acclerates great. Any suggestions would be great. Im at a loss at what it could be.

Its not real loud, it sounds like its coming from the rear end but I am open to anything. The exhaust is pretty secure and doesnt really have alot of play in it so i dont think it could be that. Torn tranny mount you say, but wouldnt the noise happen during normal driving?
I had the same problem you're describing. Except mine would also do it at a VERY slow creep, only sometimes though. It always did it when I launched. Turns out my tranny mount was bad. I replaced it and the popping went away.
same problem I have the exact same problem you described except mine does it randomly. I can just be creepin along and it does it or even at a hard launch. It is not constant though.

I have popping now (heavy) since putting a used
adjustable torque arm in there; enough play in the rod
ends I guess. Engine braking followed by acceleration
works the slop, stop-to-stop.

Its the stock rear end, and I do put the additive in. I played with the exhaust today and dont think it could be the cats hitting the car. I think I will try the tranny mount and see what happens, heck it wont hurt anything to change them.
